Books, supplies, and resources

See below for our curriculum map.

We have chosen curriculum for each subject based on research of other excellent schools, our experienced staff's knowledge of curricula, and consideration for what works well for a University-Model approach. During our Parent Orientation and Equipping Day we'll go through each subject and its scope and sequence. Parents have ample opportunity to ask questions and get answers before the school year starts.

If your student is currently enrolled at The Oaks, you'll receive a detailed list of all supplies and books needed for each grade.

Each year, we plan special events that celebrate and reinforce students' understanding of what we're studying. During our ancient history cycle students enjoyed Egypt Day and a Roman Christmas party.

We create opportunities for students to become comfortable presenting and speaking in front of an audience. These events includes things like plays and an annual Living History Day.

Every other year, students conduct a demonstration or experiment (age based) and it culminates in a Science Expo where they present it to judges and guests.
